Friends, the 2022 hymn schedule is finally here. We know it is a bit tardy, but hopefully worth the wait! These 12 hymns have been prayed over, thought about unceasingly, sung through (I make sure every hymn can be sung accapella without sounding weird) and meditated on and we really hope they are a blessing to your home.
These hymns have been chosen with the hearts of the HH community in mind, along with theological topics we thought were pertinent, as well as upcoming seasons and holidays. Please remember that the hymns planned for this year are subject to change. More than EVER, we hold these loosely because we never know what a month holds and we want our song choices to reflect what is going on in the world and in our hearts.
Of course, you may desire to choose your own hymns that reflect your own needs and family growth. Go for it. We highly suggest beginning with hymns your church sings, so that your children are able to recognize them and sing along with confidence during worship services. Feel free to use any available resources and printables we have here to help you along!
We’re praying for God to bless the remainder of the year with lots of spiritual growth and sweet moments of family worship. May He be mightily glorified as we point our children to the Rescuer and sing praises to His name! It’s our goal to sow the seed of the Gospel into the hearts of our children through family worship, teaching sound doctrine and theology, memorizing theologically solid hymns, psalms and spiritual songs, and creating rich Christ-centered traditions that point to our Sovereign King. We are so excited to worship the King alongside you!
Want to go deeper into hymn study? We’d love to share with you our hymn guides!
Big hugs and bigger blessings- April
